Why "Kerbcut"?

A kerb cut is the little slope where the pavement meets the road. It was made for wheelchair users, but parents with buggies, travellers with suitcases and delivery drivers all use it every day.

Accessible shops work the same way. Clear buttons, readable text and a checkout that works with a keyboard help disabled customers, and they make shopping easier for everyone else too.

How it works

From free check to a shop anyone can use

  1. 01

    Free check

Send us your shop's address. We scan your home page and email you the three biggest barriers — free, no strings.

  2. 02

    Snapshot Audit

We test your five key pages by machine and by hand: keyboard only, screen reader, zoom, colour and checkout.

  3. 03

    Plain-English report

A private online report: what's broken, who it affects, and exactly how to fix it — ready for you or your developer.

  4. 04

    Fix & prove it

Fix it yourself or let us handle it. We re-scan afterwards and show the before-and-after score.

What we check

Tested by software and by a real person

Automated tools only catch part of the problem. Every paid audit includes hands-on testing the way disabled shoppers actually browse, against WCAG 2.2 AA.

  • Keyboard only

Can a shopper reach every button, menu and the checkout without a mouse?

  • Screen readers

Do products, prices and buttons make sense when read aloud?

  • Colour & contrast

Is text readable for people with low vision or colour blindness?

  • Zoom & mobile

Does the shop still work at 200% zoom and on a small phone?

  • Forms & checkout

Are fields labelled and errors clear, so nobody abandons the basket?

  • Movement & timing

Can carousels, pop-ups and timers be paused or dismissed?

Pricing

Simple, fixed prices. No surprises.

Questions shop owners ask

Do I need to be technical?

No. Every issue is written in plain English with who it affects and what to change. If you have a developer, there's a technical note for them too.

Will you need access to my shop?

No. We test your live website exactly as a customer would. We never need your passwords or admin access.

Can't I just install an accessibility widget?

Overlay widgets don't fix the underlying code, and many disabled users switch them off. Shops using them are still regularly challenged. We find and fix the real problems.

Which platforms do you work with?

Any online shop — Shopify, WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, BigCommerce or custom-built.

Is this legal advice?

No. Our audits are a technical assessment against WCAG 2.2 AA, the standard referenced by UK and EU accessibility rules. For legal questions, speak to a solicitor.
